The film adaptation of Until Dawn will not retell the events of the game, but will show a new story with new characters
On 25 April, we will see the film adaptation of Until Dawn, but if you thought that the film would repeat the events from the game, you were wrong, because a new story awaits us.
Here's What We Know
Actor Peter Stormare, who will return to the role of Dr Hill from the game, appeared on the stage of CES 2025. He confirmed that the film will take place in the Until Dawn universe, but the plot will be completely new, with new characters and victims. "It's going to be a love letter to the horror genre," said Stormare, emphasising that the new story will keep the spirit of the original game.
The exhibition also featured teaser images of the film, although they have not yet been released publicly.
David F. Sandberg is directing the film, and the script was written by Gary Dauberman, who is also serving as a producer on the project. Dauberman previously wrote the screenplay for the Annabelle series and co-wrote It and It 2.
Now we're waiting for the premiere to see what new things will be shown in the film. And while we're waiting, you can watch Until Dawn remake and read our review here.
