Two years ago at The Game Awards 2022, Splash Damage announced an ambitious co-op game Transformers: Reactivate.

The developers did not reveal any details, but said that it would be a large-scale project about Transformers fighting alien invaders called Legion. According to the plot of the game, the aliens have invaded Earth and humans are assembling Transformers to confront them.

Unfortunately, this game will not be released.

Here's What We Know

Today in its social networks Splash Damage studio announced that due to the need to lay off some employees, the exact number of which is not disclosed, the decision was made to cancel the development of Transformers: Reactivate.

The studio sacrificed the game in favour of other projects and thanked Transformers rights holder Hasbro for their support and trust.

While the inability to bring the game to release is painful, saying goodbye to friends and colleagues hurts even more. We are now focused on doing everything we can to support them during this difficult time, just as we strive to take care of those who will remain with us while we build a stronger Splash Damage for the future.
