The Philips Hue app lets you choose the number of colours for gradient lighting in "Scattered Mode"
Philips Hue has introduced a new version of its app, 5.33, available for iOS and Android users. This update adds advanced gradient lighting settings, allowing you to create the desired room atmosphere even more precisely.
Here's What We Know
The main innovation concerns the Scattered mode, which creates a dynamic effect by randomly arranging colours along the gradient luminaires. Previously, users could only select colours for this feature. With the new version 5.33, users can now define the number of colours used for this effect. This allows for a more personalised setting and satisfies users' aesthetic preferences.

The feature is available for products such as the Philips Hue Gradient Signe Table Lamp, which costs $171.81 on Amazon. To change the settings, simply open the lamp map in the app, click on the Style icon, where you can add new colours using the plus button or remove unnecessary ones.
This update comes just a few weeks after version 5.32, which added support for multiple Hue bridges, making it much easier to control lighting in large rooms or multi-storey buildings. At the same time, users received new scenes for the All-day mode, which allow them to create dynamic lighting that changes throughout the day.
The 5.33 update is available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
