DJI may introduce new Mini 5 and Neo 2 drones at the end of the year
New rumours about possible releases of updated models from DJI have appeared online. A well-known insider Jasper Ellens shared information that DJI plans to release two new drones at the end of 2025: Mini 5 and Neo 2. It will be a continuation of the popular series, and they may be released simultaneously.
Here's What We Know
According to sources familiar with the situation at DJI, Mini 5 will be the successor to the Mini 4 Pro model that was recently launched. This drone, like its predecessor, will weigh less than 250 grams, which will allow users to avoid the need for registration in some countries. The new product is expected to have an improved camera, enhanced image stabilisation, and longer battery life than the Mini 4 Pro.
Insiders also suggest that the Mini 5 will have an improved object tracking system and new features for safe flight in difficult conditions.
As for the Neo 2, this drone will also receive several important updates over the previous model. Although the first Neo was only released in September, DJI is already preparing to replace this model. The Neo 2 is expected to have a new processor, an improved camera with a larger sensor, and enhanced support for flying in difficult conditions such as low visibility or strong winds.
In addition, there is also a lot of discussion online about possible updates to the Mavic 4 series, and it is after its release that DJI is likely to release the Mini 5 and Neo 2. Fans of DJI gear can expect some big releases from the company in 2025.
