Mercedes-Benz will provide Tesla Supercharger access for its electric vehicles in the US from February 2025
Mercedes-Benz has announced that from February 2025, owners of Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles in the US will be able to charge their cars at Tesla Supercharger stations.
Here's What We Know
This will require a NACS-to-CCS adapter, which can be purchased from dealers for $185, and in 2025, Mercedes plans to integrate NACS ports directly into its electric vehicles to simplify the charging process. Owners will be able to use Plug Charge technology, which automatically initiates charging when the car is plugged in.
Tesla currently has more than 20,000 charging stations in the US and Canada, which will greatly increase the availability of chargers for Mercedes owners. In Europe, electric car owners have long been able to use Tesla charging stations due to more flexible technology standards.
Mercedes will become the seventh automaker to gain access to the Tesla Supercharger network, following Ford, General Motors, Rivian, Volvo, Polestar and Nissan. The company also plans to expand its own network of charging stations by installing thousands of fast chargers in collaboration with other manufacturers.
