Xenoblade Chronicles X will no longer be held hostage by the Wii U: the iconic RPG is coming to Nintendo Switch in March
Nintendo and Monolith Soft have announced the release date for the updated version of the cult RPG Xenoblade Chronicles X on Nintendo Switch.
Here's What We Know
Xenoblade Chronicles X originally released in 2015, the game was highly praised and much loved by the public, but as it was an exclusive to Nintendo's unpopular Wii U console, few people knew of its existence.
Since the release of Nintendo Switch, gamers have been asking the company to release a port for the console, but only now will their wish come true.
In a special trailer, the developers revealed that Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition will be released on Nintendo Switch on 20 March 2025. The game will receive graphical improvements, increased performance and support for all the features of the current console, including the unique features of the Joy-Con controller.
Updated character models will give the game a new and more modern look.
By the way, Nintendo executives said that the company's new console will get backwards compatibility with all Switch games, so it's safe to say that Xenoblade Chronicles X will be playable on Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
