Galaxy Tab S9 receives December 2024 security update: new fixes and improvements in South Korea

Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy Tab S9 that contains the December 2024 security patch.

The update is currently available for the Wi-Fi version of the tablet (model SM-X710), and has already begun rolling out in South Korea. Samsung plans to roll it out in other countries in the coming days. The update is likely to be available for other variants of the device, including the mobile-enabled model.

The software updates the tablet's firmware to version X710XXU5BXL6, at least for Korean users.

How To Switch It On

To get the update, you need to go to the tablet settings, select the "Software Update" section and click "Download and Install".

In addition to fixing the vulnerabilities, Galaxy Tab S9 is on the list of devices that will receive an update to Android 15 based on One UI 7.0. This new version of the software will bring many new features and improvements that will greatly enhance the device experience, including improvements to the interface and functionality.
