BMW Group electric car sales rise to 426,594 units in 2024

The BMW Group has reported a 13.5 per cent increase in sales of all-electric vehicles (BEVs) in 2024. A total of 426,594 units of these vehicles were delivered to customers.
Here's What We Know
The BMW and MINI brands posted double-digit growth in BEV sales, selling 368,523 units (+11.6 per cent) and 56,181 (+24.3 per cent) units of all-electric vehicles respectively last year.
The Rolls-Royce brand also recorded significant growth with the delivery of 1,890 BEV vehicles (+479.6 per cent).
What about other powertrain types?
In total, BMW Group brands sold 2,450,804 vehicles of all types in 2024. Electrified (hybrid) vehicles accounted for 24.2 per cent of the total or 593,215 units. All-electric vehicles accounted for 17.4 per cent of total sales.

The BMW brand delivered 2,200,177 vehicles to customers for the full year 2024 (-2.3 per cent). In the European region, the BMW brand expanded its market share, registering double-digit sales growth in Italy, France and the UK. The BMW brand also posted sales growth in the US. In Germany, BMW saw an increase in new BEV registrations despite a downturn in the all-electric vehicle market.
The MINI brand, which refreshed its entire model range last year, sold 244,915 units worldwide (-17.1 per cent). The brand almost doubled its year-on-year electric vehicle sales in the fourth quarter, selling 29,698 all-electric vehicles.
The Rolls-Royce brand delivered 5,712 units (-5.3 per cent) to customers for the full year. In the same period, BMW Motorrad sold 210,408 motorbikes and scooters (+0.6%) and thus achieved another record.
