Garmin ECG app now available for users in Australia and the EU
Garmin's electrocardiogram (ECG) app, which was first launched in 2023, is now available for users in Australia and the European Union.
Here's What We Know
Previously, this tool was available to users in countries such as the United States, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Since the app has received regulatory approval in these regions, even more smartwatch owners can now check their heart health.
The main function of the app is the ability to conduct an ECG test and detect signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which is potentially dangerous to health.
The built-in sensors of the smartwatch can record electrical signals associated with the heartbeat. Users can run a 30-second test directly on the watch and see the result immediately. If the test reveals any possible heart rhythm abnormalities, it is recommended to contact a doctor for additional medical advice.

One of the important features of the app is the ability to save test results in the Garmin Connect app. This allows users to create a test history and track changes in their heart health over time.
The app is currently available for models such as Fenix 8, Fenix 7, Enduro 3, as well as other new devices from the brand.
