Alpina has unveiled its most powerful project yet - the 634bhp B8 GT
The Alpina B8 GT is the new flagship and the most powerful production car ever produced by the niche car company from Buchloe. The sedan uses a 4.4-litre N63 engine with 634 hp and 850 Nm of torque. That's 12bhp and 50Nm more than the regular Alpina B8 and just 1bhp less compared to BMW's most powerful petrol car, the M5 CS. Although has an extra 100Nm compared to the 'super sedan'.
Here's What We Know
The B8 GT takes just 3.3 seconds to reach 100 km/h. Acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h takes 10.5 seconds and the top speed is 330 km/h. Alpina has refined the eight-speed ZF automatic transmission to cope with the extra torque from the V8 engine.
Production is limited to 99 units, but only 20 cars will be offered with a two-tone paint scheme combining blue or green with black. All cars will receive carbon fibre bodywork and an enlarged rear diffuser, 21-inch Alpina Classic forged wheels, Pirelli P Zero tyres and a leather interior with wood trim.
Another unique element of this model is the metal insert on the centre console with the signature of Burkard Bovensiepen. The Alpina founder passed away in October 2023 at the age of 87.
Price
In Germany, the Alpina B8 GT costs at least 225,000 euros ($231,466). A two-tone paint job will cost an additional 11,150 euros ($11,472). However, the sum also includes two branded leather bags and a Swiss watch.
