ChatGPT now helps you schedule tasks and create reminders
OpenAI has added a new task scheduling feature to ChatGPT that allows you to automate tasks and set reminders using AI chat.
Here's What We Know
The Scheduled Tasks feature is already available for paid ChatGPT subscribers (Plus, Pro, and Team plans). It allows you to create reminders and even automate certain types of tasks. These can be simple date reminders or more complex tasks, such as daily news summaries.
OpenAI explains:
"As part of this early beta, you can create tasks that allow ChatGPT to automatically fulfil requests and get back to you on a schedule. For example, you can ask ChatGPT to perform the following tasks.
"Can you prepare a daily summary of artificial intelligence news for me?"
"Practice French with me every day."
"Remind me of my mum's birthday." "

While reminders can be set up through other apps, ChatGPT has the advantage of being able to pull in additional data. For example, the "Practice French with me" task allows you to learn new phrases directly through chat, rather than just receiving reminders that require you to open another app. However, the feature still has limitations: it does not support files, voice chats, or customised GPT models.
TechCrunch notes that OpenAI is using this beta to understand how users will use the option before its wider launch in mobile apps and the free version of ChatGPT.
