The wait is short: an insider has revealed the timeline for the presentation of an ambitious strategy game based on the Star Wars franchise from the creators of XCOM and Civilisation

It is known that Bit Reactor studio, founded by former game designers from Firaxis, who worked on the modern parts of XCOM, in cooperation with Respawn Entertainment are working on a strategy game based on the Star Wars universe.

Extremely little information is known about the game, and it has never been shown publicly. But we can hope that the first demonstration of the project will take place soon.

Here's What We Know

As stated by blogger and dataminer Timur222, the annual Star Wars Celebration festival will be held in Japan on 18-20 April and the debut trailer of the Star Wars strategy game will be shown at this event.

We can expect the developers to reveal the name of the game, approximate release date and genre affiliation - remember, earlier the authors preferred not to call their game an RTS, so there is a possibility that gamers are expecting a turn-based strategy game, like Civilisation.

Surely we will learn and in what era the events of the unnamed game are unfolding.
