Here's What We Know
The report states that along with the drones, Ukraine received military trucks, thermal imaging cameras, and five-tonne telescopic forklifts. Lithuanian Defence Minister Dovile Šakalienė stressed that support for Ukraine should remain intense, as it directly affects the security of Lithuania itself.
"We cannot slow down the pace of support for Ukraine, because ensuring its security means ensuring our own security. We have as much time as Ukraine does," Shakalienė stressed, adding that removing bureaucratic barriers would speed up the delivery of military assistance.
Earlier, in October 2024, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defence announced plans to transfer about 5,000 drones to the Ukrainian Defence Forces. However, according to the Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT on 11 January 2025, a significant number of these drones are still in storage in Lithuania. Former defence minister Laurinas Kasciunas attributed this to bureaucratic delays.
