They finally figured it out: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will allow console players to turn off crossplay in ranked mode

We wrote that Treyarch has blocked another 136,000 accounts in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 due to cheating. However, you might wonder how this should affect console players, since there are no cheats there. Well, almost... For some reason, Activision has decided that crossplay will always be enabled in the ranked mode. But fortunately, this will be changed soon.

Here's What We Know

Activision has announced an important change for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone - the ability to turn off crossplay in ranked mode.

The new feature will appear with the start of the second season on 28 January 2025.

To access the ranked mode, players need to have at least 50 wins in multiplayer. Console players will now be able to turn off crossplay and play only against other game console owners, avoiding potential problems with cheaters and other advantages of PC players.
