REDMI K80 gets a limited edition table tennis-style case in China
Xiaomi has announced a new accessory for the popular REDMI K80 smartphone series in China. The company has introduced a special version of the case - Redmi K80 Table Tennis Special Edition, which features a unique design.

As the name implies, the special version of the case is inspired by the game of table tennis. The transparent back panel of the accessory imitates the look of a tennis table. The case has all the necessary cutouts for the volume buttons, camera module, USB-C port, microphone and other elements.
Price and availability
The limited edition case is already available for sale in the official Xiaomi Mall store. It costs 79 yuan (approximately $10).

In addition to the presentation of the case, Xiaomi announced the Redmi New Year Live Interview on 24 January. The event will feature Wang Teng, CEO of Redmi, and Fan Zhendong, brand ambassador and famous table tennis player. During the broadcast, the company will give away a Redmi smartphone every 10 minutes, as well as 100 new products among viewers.
In additional news, POCO F7 Ultra may be launched globally as a renamed version of the Redmi K80 Pro.
Xiaomi may update its phones to HyperOS 3. The update will be based on Android 16 and is expected to be faster than the previous version.
Although the HyperOS 2.0 rollout is not yet complete, XiaomiTime has already reported on Xiaomi phones and tablets that are likely to receive HyperOS 3.0. The list includes smartphones from the Xiaomi 15, 14, 13, and 12 series, as well as popular Redmi models, including the Redmi Note, Redmi K, and Poco F series.
