Truecaller now automatically blocks unwanted numbers on iPhone too

Truecaller has released an update to its iOS app that now allows it to automatically block unknown and spam calls.

Here's What We Know

This feature has been available to Android users for a while now, and now iPhone owners will be able to take advantage of similar capabilities thanks to a new iOS 18 feature called Live Caller ID Lookup. This API uses advanced homomorphic encryption, making Truecaller the first app in the world to deploy this technology at scale for caller identification.

The updated iOS app will now be able to automatically block fraudulent and unknown numbers without user intervention. The app can also identify previously received calls in the iPhone's "Recent" list from 2,000 previous calls. This update puts the iOS version of Truecaller on par with the Android version, which has always provided full access to calling features for third-party apps.

Truecaller's new features are available immediately for premium users, while free users will still only get ad-supported number lookup and caller ID for verified companies.
