Assassin's Creed Shadows story trailer unveiled: Ubisoft revealed the backstory of the main characters and their connection to Oda Nobunaga
Ubisoft has unveiled a spectacular Assassin's Creed Shadows story trailer.
Here's What We Know
The developer showed some staged scenes that briefly revealed the backstory of African-born samurai Yasuke and shinobi girl Naoe. They both appear to be connected to the shogun Oda Nobunaga, who united Japan under a single flag, and it seems that in Assassinʼs Creed Shadows he will be the main antagonist and head the Japanese "branch" of the Order of Ancients, the (fictional) organisation that preceded the Templars.
Yasuke was once in Nobunaga's service and it was the ruler's men who trained him in the art of warfare, while Naoe's father got in the way of the Shogun and was killed, for which the girl will seek revenge. At some point their paths will cross and they will join forces to fight the cult.
When We Can Expect It
Assassinʼs Creed Shadows will release on 20 March 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series
