Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will get a 16GB RAM version in three countries only
Samsung has unveiled its new Galaxy S25 line of flagships, which gets 12GB of RAM for all models. Well, almost all of them. It is reported that the top-of-the-line Galaxy S25 Ultra model will also have a 16GB RAM version in some countries.
Here's What We Know
It is reported that the Galaxy S25 Ultra with 16GB RAM will only be available in Korea, China and Taiwan. In China and Taiwan, the model with 1TB of main memory has 16GB of RAM, while in Korea, you can choose between the 12GB and 16GB versions of the 1TB model. In other countries, all Galaxy S25 models come with 12GB of RAM.
The reasons for this limitation are unclear, but it is speculated that Samsung conducted market research that showed that buyers in these regions place more emphasis on the amount of RAM when choosing a smartphone.
Despite the fact that Samsung's competitors have long been offering flagships with 16GB of RAM, as well as offering faster wired and wireless charging, the company continues to lead smartphone sales in the global market. Perhaps the large amount of RAM isn't as important to most buyers when making a purchase decision.
