Samsung has introduced a new feature for the Galaxy S25 series of smartphones that allows users to get detailed information about the battery status. This became possible thanks to the introduction of One UI 7.0.

Here's What We Know

The Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra models now provide advanced battery information, including:

  • Overall battery status as a percentage, which allows you to estimate its current capacity compared to the original;
  • The number of charge cycles, which helps you determine how intensively the battery is being used;
  • Battery production date, which allows you to check how "fresh" the battery is;
  • Date of first use, which allows you to track how long the battery has been in use since activation.

Thanks to this feature, Galaxy S25 owners will be able to detect battery wear in a timely manner and make decisions about replacing it.

However, it is worth noting that the battery monitoring feature may not be available in all countries. Some users have already reported that their Galaxy S25 devices display this data, while others do not yet have this option.

It is likely that this feature requires a firmware update that has not yet been released in all regions. Samsung may also limit the availability of this tool depending on legal regulations and marketing strategy in different markets.

Will older Galaxy models get this feature?

There is currently no official information on whether this functionality will be available on older Samsung smartphones with future One UI updates. Experts suggest that Samsung may limit this feature to new devices only, as additional hardware sensors or special optimisations at the firmware level may be required to collect such data.
