Red Cat Holdings has announced new orders worth $518,000 for 12 Edge 130 drones. The customers are the US Army National Guard and another government agency.

Here's What We Know

The Edge 130 is a military-grade tri-copter equipped with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capabilities, artificial intelligence for surveillance, and the ability to fly for more than 60 minutes. It is designed to perform reconnaissance, surveillance and precision strikes in critical environments, including maritime operations. In short, it is adapted for ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) missions.

The order follows Red Cat's acquisition of FlightWave in September 2024, which added the Edge 130 Blue to the company's portfolio. This Blue UAS-certified drone is highly portable and can be assembled and launched manually within a minute, enabling rapid deployment.

Red Cat CEO Jeff Thompson said that these orders validate the Edge 130's performance and the importance of its contribution to the success of US government missions.
