Despite the fact that The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion remake was not presented during the recent Xbox Developer Direct conference, it seems that the game is still on its way to release in the near future.

Here's What We Know

According to journalist Tom Warren in his newsletter on The Verge, according to insider information, the remake is planned for release in late spring or early summer.

Rumours about the remake first surfaced in 2023, suggesting that Bethesda was working with Virtuos to modernise the beloved 2006 RPG. Allegedly, the remake combines the original game's engine with the Unreal Engine 5, with improved game mechanics, including updates to blocking, stamina, archery, and stealth.

Even more speculation emerged earlier this month when a Virtuos employee mentioned an unannounced remake on his LinkedIn profile about the Unreal Engine 5 engine.
