Xbox CEO Phil Spencer recently hinted at the possibility of Starfield coming to PlayStation 5. Speaking to Destin Legari, Spencer noted that he does not intend to limit any game to one platform only if it does not contribute to the company's business success. He emphasised that Xbox's strategy is not to withhold games from other platforms, but to secure a better business that allows it to invest in a great line of games.

Here's What We Know

Starfield was previously planned as an Xbox and PC exclusive, and Microsoft denied the possibility of its release on PlayStation 5. However, given Microsoft's new policy, the game may eventually be released on Sony consoles.

This move reflects a shift in Microsoft's strategy to expand the availability of its games across platforms. It is worth reminding that games such as Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves are already available on PlayStation.
