Meta AI will be able to suggest ideas for the weekend based on Facebook and Instagram activity

Meta has updated its artificial intelligence Meta AI and added a "memory" feature that allows it to remember important information.
Here's How It Works
The assistant can now store the data that users provide during a personal chat and use their activity on Facebook and Instagram to make more accurate and personalised recommendations.
The changes are currently only available in the US and Canada. For example, if you indicate allergies or dietary restrictions, the assistant can remember this data and recommend recipes that meet the requirements. However, this technology can also store other details, such as information about your personal life and relationships.
Importantly, users will be able to monitor what data the assistant stores and delete specific items. In particular, Meta AI will use your activity on Facebook and Instagram to generate recommendations, for example, offering weekend ideas based on the location indicated in your profile and the videos you have watched.
Meta representatives note that these recommendations will take into account information such as age, gender, interests, and interaction with content, including advertising. The Meta AI update comes amid growing interest in the Chinese AI assistant DeepSeek, which is currently ranked first in the Apple App Store.
Although DeepSeek's popularity has already surprised investors, Meta's chief scientist, Yang Le Kun, has called the market's reaction to the assistant "unfair".
