The Fallout series became the most popular release on Amazon Prime Video in 2024

According to Luminate, Amazon Prime Video's Fallout series became the platform's most successful release in 2024, with nearly 8 billion minutes of viewing since its premiere in April.

Fallout is a post-apocalyptic series based on the video game series of the same name created by Bethesda Game Studios. The plot takes place in 2296, where a young woman named Lucy leaves her shelter to explore the dangerous wastelands of the destroyed Los Angeles.

The premiere took place on 10 April 2024, and in the first 16 days, the series garnered 65 million viewers, becoming the second most popular release in the platform's history after The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power in 2022. In October 2024, the number of viewers exceeded 100 million.

The success of Fallout also had a positive impact on sales of the original video games in the series, increasing their popularity among new players.

Given this success, Amazon has already renewed the series for a second season, which is scheduled to begin after the California wildfire.
