Microsoft reported a significant increase in the number of Xbox Game Pass subscribers in December 2024. This growth was driven by the successful releases of games such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Here's What We Know

We already wrote that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle attracted more than four million players. Add to this the mega-popular Call of Duty, and it becomes clear why the number of people who wanted to try Game Pass has grown so much.

However, despite the success in the gaming segment, Microsoft has recorded a decline in sales of Xbox consoles. In the last quarter of 2024, console sales decreased by 13% compared to the same period of the previous year.

So now it is not surprising that Microsoft is focusing on game publishing and various services rather than consoles, as it will not be possible to overtake Sony and Nintendo in this regard.
