Capcom updates sales of "platinum games": Resident Evil and Monster Hunter franchises become more popular

Capcom has published updated data on its "platinum games" - games that have sold more than a million copies.

Here's What We Know

Resident Evil 4 Remake reached 9.2 million units sold, up 1.2 million from the previous quarter.

Other notable achievements include:

  • Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - 14.9 million copies sold (up 900 thousand copies in the last 3 months)
  • Monster Hunter Rise - 16.7 million (up 700 thousand)
  • Resident Evil 2 (2019) - 15 million (additional 500 thousand)
  • Monster Hunter: World - 21.3 million (plus 400 thousand)
  • Resident Evil 3 Remake - 9.6 million (up 400 thousand)
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard - 14.4 million (additional 400 thousand)
  • Resident Evil Village - 10.9 million (up 400 thousand)
  • Street Fighter 6 - 4.4 million (plus 300 thousand)

These figures demonstrate the stable interest of players in the Resident Evil and Monster Hunter franchises, as well as the successful launch of Street Fighter 6.
