Uruguayan retailer apologises for wrong GTA 6 release date on its website: exact release date still unknown

Recently, the Uruguayan retailer XUruguay published information on its website that Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on 17 September 2025. However, the company later removed this information and apologised for the mistake.
Here's What We Know
In its statement, XUruguay explained that the date of 17 September was chosen because the previous part of the series, GTA V, was released on this day in 2013. The store's employees noted that they had not received any official information from the developers or publishers regarding the release date of GTA VI. They also emphasised that they did not intend to mislead the community of players.
At the moment, the official release date of GTA VI remains unknown. Earlier, Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, reported that it expects significant revenue growth in fiscal year 2025, which may indicate a possible release of the game in this period. However, there are no official confirmations or specific dates yet.
