In the latest Minecraft test update, Mojang has added new variants of cows, shrub fireflies, and "bushes"

Mojang Studio has released another Minecraft update for public testing, which has several interesting features. For example, players can now meet two types of new cows: "cold" cows - covered with fur and living in snowy biomes, and "warm" cows - grazing on sandy areas.

Here's What We Know

Desert biomes feature new environmental sounds, such as sand whispering, chirping, rustling branches, and wind howling. In addition, players can place dead bushes on certain sand blocks or group sand and terracotta blocks to recreate the desert atmosphere in their bases.

There is a new firefly bush that emits a gentle glow from dancing lights at night. These bushes, which grow near swamps and water bodies, can be transplanted and grown with bone meal. If you place a firefly bush under a block, it will add a sparkling effect to the block above. Another addition is the simply named bush, which grows in forests, birch forests, plains, windswept hills, and other green biomes. They can also be grown using bone meal.

These features are currently available in Minecraft: Java Edition. To access them, enable snapshots from the Installations tab in the launcher. Mojang plans to introduce these updates to the Bedrock beta and preview soon, with a full release expected later this year.
