Emperor, revolutionary and general: Sid Meier's Civilisation VII developers introduced Napoleon
Studio Firaxis Games continues to introduce gamers to the leaders available in the historical 4X-strategy Sid Meier's Civilisation VII, and presented another trailer.
Here's What We Know
This time the developers have focused on one of the most iconic historical characters, whose reign has gone down in history thanks to the civil reforms and wars he unleashed across Europe - Napoleon Bonaparte.
In Civilisation VII, he will be available to anyone who has purchased past installments and is registered in the 2K ecosystem.
Napoleon will be offered in two variants: "Emperor" and "Revolutionary". They differ not only in their clothing and behaviour, but also in the bonuses they provide to their people.
Napoleon's "Emperor" specialises in trade and military build-up, and his unique ability "Emperor of France", which is a special diplomatic action, reduces the maximum number of trade routes for the chosen civilisation and causes a significant increase in resentment. "Emperor" gains more gold per era for each leader he deems unfriendly or hostile.
Napoleon "The Revolutionary" provides access to new bonuses and pursues an alternate objective when controlled by the AI. "The Revolutionary" specialises in Culture and Military Power, and his unique "Grand Army" ability grants extra movement points to all army leaders and increases his Culture level for every enemy unit defeated.
Previously, the developers of Sid Meier's Civilisation VII introduced the following leaders:
