ProbablyMonsters has seen layoffs and the closure of an unnamed project
ProbablyMonsters, founded by former Bungie CEO Harold Ryan, is once again making staff redundant. According to reports on LinkedIn, several employees reported losing their jobs, as well as the closure of an unnamed project.

One of the company's senior technical specialists wrote: "I'm also caught up in the wave of layoffs in the video game industry. I'm looking for a new role and would appreciate your support." The design director said their last project was "closed", and the head of QA said his team was "unfortunately laid off".
In October last year, ProbablyMonsters had already laid off about 50 employees after the cancellation of a project called Battle Barge. At the time, a company spokesperson said that they were reorganising the studio's structure to support "smaller, more agile teams and projects", which they believe better meets the needs of players and the market.
Despite raising more than $450 million in investment since its founding to build multiple studios and provide a "stable home for developers," ProbablyMonsters is having difficulty maintaining stability for its teams. One of their studios, Firewalk, was acquired by Sony in 2023, but was closed last year due to the failure of Concrod.
