Organisers of the iconic E3 show have announced a new iicon event

The Entertainment Software Association, the organisation that for many years has been running the iconic Electronic Entertainment Expo, better known as E3, has announced an event of a new format - the iicon conference.

Iicon (Interactive Innovation Conference) will be a forum where innovators, opinion leaders and visionaries can present their ideas, propose ways to improve the gaming industry, promote their technological solutions, network, enter into collaborations and engage in other important activities.

The conference is positioned as the premier event "for those bringing innovation to various industries," but the focus will still be on the gaming industry.

The first iicon, which will be held in Las Vegas from 27 to 30 April 2026, has announced among its first participants giants such as Amazon Games, Disney, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Microsoft, Nintendo of America, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Square Enix, Take-Two Interactive, Ubisoft and Warner Bros. Games. But it's likely that this list will change over the year and other significant companies in the industry will be added to the list.

Recall that the final "death" of E3 became known at the end of 2023, although the prerequisites for its closure existed at least five years before this decision.
