Borderlands 4 will be released in 2025 and the exact release date will be announced "soon", - Take-Two CEO

Take-Two has released its latest financial results, where, among other things, it announced updated sales data for GTA V and RDR 2, as well as confirmed the release date of Grand Theft Auto 6 this autumn. However, that is not all: the studio also shared information about its other release, Borderlands 4.

CEO Strauss Zelnick said that the game will be released during the calendar year 2025, instead of the previous window until April 2026. The exact release date is still unknown, but the executive assured Variety that Gearbox will share information and gameplay footage "soon".

In addition, Zelnick confirmed that Mafia: The Old Country will be released this summer as planned.

Here's What We Know

Borderlands 4 will be set on the new planet Kairos, where four new Vaults Hunters will appear. The game will feature local co-op in split-screen mode and "billions" of weapons and accessories. Although the game is officially classified as an open-world title, the developers have confirmed that there will be some open-world elements in the game, such as seamless travel.
