Strauss Zelnick: potential success of Grand Theft Auto 6 doesn't make Take-Two Interactive arrogant
Recently, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed the intention to release GTA VI this autumn. He also told us why, despite the potential huge success of the game, Take-Two cannot afford to become arrogant.
Here's What We Know
During the Q&A session, Zelnick explained how instead of being arrogant about the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 6, Take-Two should be cautious, and even a little scared, about the competition in the gaming industry:
"We believe that arrogance is the enemy of continued success. We run scared. We’re looking over our shoulder. Our competitors are not asleep. And so what do we do about that? We try to be the most creative, the most innovative, and the most efficient company in the entertainment industry. And Rockstar Games in particular seeks perfection in everything they do. And we believe that if we do that right, and we focus on delivering for consumers, that’s our best opportunity to succeed."
The fact that the video game industry will change forever with the release of GTA VI is undeniable, but how much of an impact it will have remains to be seen.
Where To Play
Grand Theft Auto VI will initially be available on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.
When We Can Expect It
The game is scheduled for release in autumn 2025, the exact date is currently unknown.
