Motorola is preparing to launch a new folding smartphone model, which is likely to be the successor to the Razr 50 Ultra. The smartphone has appeared on several certification sites, and recently, Geekbench has revealed some interesting details regarding its characteristics.

Here's What We Know

Changing the name of the device came as a surprise. Instead of the usual Razr 60 Ultra, the new product will be called Motorola Razr Ultra 2025. Usually, Motorola gives models for the global market the name Razr Ultra, and for North America - Razr+ with the addition of the year of release. Now the company has changed this approach.

Geekbench also revealed some technical details. The new Razr Ultra 2025 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which will be a noticeable improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in the Razr 50 Ultra/Razr+ 2025. According to the benchmark, the new processor will have six cores clocked at 3.53 GHz and two high-performance cores clocked at 4.32 GHz, paired with the Adreno 830 GPU. The smartphone will also have up to 12 GB of RAM and is likely to run on Android 15.

In Geekbench tests, the model scored 2782 points in single-core mode and 8457 in multi-core mode. Although there is no more information about the device at the moment, the name change and updated chipset indicate that Motorola has a few surprises for fans in its upcoming flagship.

Instead of the traditional three Android updates for premium models and two for the mid-range, Motorola will start offering five updates for the new smartphones.
