TikTok is still not available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. However, the company allows users in the US to download the Android app via its official website.

Here's What We Know

TikTok Policy has reported that Android Package Kits are now available for downloading the app, which allow you to install TikTok directly from the official website.

The app temporarily disappeared from the stores on 19 January, when a law came into force that bans TikTok in the US unless its parent company ByteDance sells it to an American owner. According to this law, the Apple App Store and Google Play are obliged to remove the app from the stores, otherwise they face a fine of $5,000 for each user who downloads the app in the US. However, TikTok promptly restored access to the service, although the app has not yet appeared in the Google and Apple stores.

One of the executive orders President Donald Trump signed at the beginning of his term in office provided a 75-day pause for the law banning the app, giving ByteDance until April to strike a deal. Trump allegedly put Vice President J.D. Vance in charge of negotiating a possible sale before the deadline.

ByteDance has repeatedly stated that it does not intend to sell TikTok, but one of the company's largest investors said that the deal is "in the best interest of all parties". Several companies and individuals, including Perplexity AI and MrBeast, have already expressed their desire to acquire TikTok in the US.
