DAF's most fuel-efficient trucks will be labelled 'Efficiency Champion'

Dutch truck manufacturer DAF Trucks has announced the introduction of a new 'Efficiency Champion' labelling for its most fuel-efficient models. The special mark will be placed on the side of the cab.

Here's What We Know

Introduced in 2024, the new generation of DAF trucks is distinguished from its predecessors by a 10 per cent improvement in fuel efficiency. Moreover, thanks to a number of additional innovations introduced last autumn, fuel economy has increased by an additional 3%.

Further optimisation of the powertrain has made a significant contribution to the reduction in fuel consumption. At the same time, the list of standard equipment for the new generation of DAF trucks has been expanded, including side cameras instead of mirrors, full aerodynamic package, low rolling resistance tyres and predictive cruise control. All of these measures are aimed at improving fuel efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions.

The 'Efficiency Champion' label will be awarded to every DAF long-haul tractor and chassis, provided the truck meets the minimum requirements of Class 3 in the German Maut road toll system.
