After years of waiting, the Apple TV app is finally available for Android devices. It was created from scratch with the Android operating system in mind, and it's available for download from the Google Play Store now.

Here's What We Know

The app is adapted for smartphones, tablets, and foldable devices.

It is a full-fledged version of Apple TV with all the features that users are used to using. You can pick up where you left off and download content for offline viewing via Wi-Fi or mobile internet.

Users get access to Apple TV+ content, including popular TV series such as Severance, Silo, For All Mankind, Ted Lasso, Shrinking and Slow Horses. New users can take advantage of a seven-day free trial period. Subscriptions can be made directly through Google Play.

The app also offers MLS Season Pass content, which is especially relevant in the run-up to the 2025 Major League Soccer season. Sports fans can watch weekly MLB baseball games without any restrictions on the place of viewing.

Previously, Android users had to use the web version or packages via Prime Video. The Apple TV app was available on Android TV, but it was not possible to subscribe directly through the TV. Now it is possible to do so via Google Play.

The app does not yet support streaming content to other devices, but it is expected to appear in future updates.

Apple TV works on gadgets with Android 10 and later.
