Garmin has introduced a new smartwatch, the Descent G2, which combines diving functions. This gadget is designed for diving enthusiasts, as it provides a lot of useful information right on the wrist.

Here's What We Know

The watch can withstand dives of up to 100 metres and pressures of up to 10 ATM with a dive time of up to 27 hours in diving mode.

The Garmin Descent G2 features a large 1.2-inch AMOLED display with touchscreen controls. Diving features include a compass, multiple dive modes including single and multi-gas, a large digit mode for important data such as NDL time, a variometer, and speed graphs in the Garmin Dive app.

The dive readiness function assesses your condition based on sleep, stress, exercise, and multi-GNSS support for precise entry and exit points to the surface.

In addition, the Descent G2 has standard health features such as heart rate, sleep, hydration and respiration monitoring, as well as movement and women's health tracking. The watch is compatible with both iOS and Android, and allows you to receive emails, notifications and detailed stats using the Garmin Connect app. For emergencies, the Descent G2 can connect to the inReach Mini 2 to activate satellite SOS.

The watch is available in two colours: palomo with a pink strap and black with a black strap.

The price of the model in the US is $700 and it is already available for delivery within 1-3 days.
