The Honor 400 could be the world's first smartphone to feature the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, due out in 2025, according to the latest leaks.

Here's What We Know

This could be an important step for the company, as the 300 series failed to meet expectations in some respects. According to a reliable insider at Digital Chat Station, the Honor 400 will be equipped with a new chipset that is the successor to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (SM7750). It may be called 7 Gen 4, but there is also a possibility that the chipset will receive a different name, such as 7 Elite.

One of the main advantages of the new model will be an improved main camera, which is likely to be one of the best in the class of budget smartphones. Thanks to these updates, the 400 model may turn out to be no less interesting than the more expensive variants of the series with Snapdragon 8 Elite or 8 Gen 3 chipsets.

It is also expected that the 400 series will receive powerful batteries, which its predecessors lacked. This will be an important milestone for Honor, as in the future, smartphones with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, such as the GT Pro, are also planned to be released with improved battery life.

In Europe, the Honor Magic7 Lite is already available for pre-order via Amazon.

Honor is also integrating DeepSeek-R1 for its YOYO AI assistant. The company has officially announced that the updated version of its built-in assistant YOYO, which is currently only available in China, will be powered by DeepSeek-R1.

Honor may introduce a new Pad X9a tablet.
