Described as "Warriors X Roguelite", the game takes a unique isometric approach while retaining the signature large-scale battles the series is known for. In addition to waves of enemies, Warriors: Abbys also includes intense boss fights, adding another layer of complexity to the action-packed combat.

For a roguelite, death is not the end. Players can return to battle using powerful abilities inspired by legendary figures from Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The trailer boasts that the combination of these abilities allows for 16 billion different battle styles, offering deep customisation and replayability.
