Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has shared a new photo on Weibo, taken with the camera of the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra flagship.

Here's What We Know

The image, which was taken in low light conditions, demonstrated excellent clarity, dynamic range and minimal distortion. This confirms the high quality of images that can be expected from the new smartphone model.

According to preliminary data, Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have a camera with a 200MP main sensor, which is used for the zoom camera. The ISOCELL HP9 sensor has a size of 1/1.4" and provides pixels of 2.24 microns after pixel combining. For comparison, the main camera of the Samsung Galaxy S25 has a 1/1.56" ISOCELL GN3 sensor and pixels of 2 microns each after pixel merging. This allows Xiaomi 15 Ultra to achieve such results when shooting in low light conditions.

Exif data of the image confirms that the HP9 sensor works together with a periscope lens with a focal length of 100 mm and a zoom ratio of 4.3x. According to other sources, the smartphone will also feature a 3x zoom lens, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50MP primary camera with a 1-inch sensor.

Xiaomi plans to unveil the 15 Ultra at the end of February, and we can already conclude that the camera of the new flagship is capable of competing with market leaders such as Apple and Samsung.

The international version of this smartphone has recently received certification from the FCC, which confirms its upcoming launch in the US.
