Intel will soon unveil new Panther Lake and Arrow Lake-H processors for portable gaming devices
Intel has confirmed the release of new gaming handhelds based on Panther Lake and Arrow Lake-H processors. Intel Vice President and General Manager Robert Hallock said that the company plans to expand the line of mobile chips not only for notebooks, but also for future gaming handhelds.
Here's What We Know
According to Hallock, a generation of Panther Lake chips are already in the testing phase and will soon be deployed in gaming handhelds. These processors promise significant performance improvements over previous generations of chips such as Lunar Lake.
Arrow Lake-H will also be offered to portable device manufacturers, offering high graphics performance thanks to discrete graphics processors. Intel plans to work with manufacturers to provide them with better processors for their devices.
Hallock noted that Intel's new chips will not rely on on-board memory, allowing portable device makers to increase memory to whatever capacity they want.
Intel hopes the new processors will help the company compete with AMD in the gaming handheld market, which the latter dominates.
