The other day, it was reported that Samsung is planning to use a silicon-carbon battery for its flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra 2026 smartphone, which will increase its capacity to 7000 mAh. However, a new leak from insider @PandaFlashPro on X refutes these rumours, claiming that the Galaxy S26 Ultra battery will have a maximum capacity of 5500 mAh and a nominal capacity of 5396 mAh. While this may disappoint those who were expecting more, the new battery is still 10 per cent larger than the previous Galaxy Ultra models.

Here's What We Know

As for the specs of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, it is expected to feature a new Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship processor (most likely the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite). Also, according to some rumours, the smartphone's display will be brighter and more efficient than the current model, thanks to new display technology, and the S26 Ultra may also get an under-display camera. In addition to this, rear camera improvements are expected, which could include a 200 MP periscopic camera instead of the 50 MP sensor on the S25 Ultra.
