Xiaomi 15 Ultra records a record run of SU7 Ultra electric car in Shanghai

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric car set a new record at the Shanghai International Circuit with a time of 2:09.994 minutes. The event is unique in that it was filmed on the flagship Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone, which confirms its shooting capabilities.

Xiaomi actively uses its smartphone to promote cars: the video from the record-breaking race demonstrates high image quality even in difficult lighting conditions.
The company's CEO Lei Jun said that Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have the most powerful telephoto optics among Android smartphones, and the global announcement of the device will take place at MWC 2025.
The smartphone is expected to have two periscope cameras: 50 MP (70 mm, 3X) and 200 MP (100 mm, 4.3X). The 50 MP module's f/1.8 aperture and 200 MP's f/2.6 aperture will provide excellent detail even in difficult conditions, such as rain.
The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and is rumoured to have a 6000mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device will run Android 15 with HyperOS 2.0 out of the box. The price is rumoured to be in line with its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

The international version of this smartphone recently received certification from the FCC, confirming its upcoming launch in the US.
