The French brand is expanding its electric crossover range: in the coming weeks, the Peugeot e-3008 and e-5008 will receive all-wheel drive versions with two motors and a total output of 239 kW. These are the first all-wheel drive models on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform.

Here's What We Know

In standard versions, both crossovers have a single front motor with 156 kW (213 hp), while in the Long Range version the power is increased to 170 kW (231 hp). New all-wheel drive versions will get a second 82 kW (112 hp) electric motor that drives the rear wheels, raising total power to 239 kW (325 hp).

About the battery, range and torque Peugeot is silent for now. What is known is that 73 kWh or 97 kWh batteries are now available for the models.

It is expected that similar twin-engine configurations may appear in Jeep and Opel, as they use the same STLA Medium platform.

Along with the new versions, Peugeot is preparing a battery pre-heating system. It will be linked to the interior heating and will reduce charging time in the cold. In the future, drivers will be able to control preheating via the Trip Planner, which will automatically activate the function before a scheduled stop for charging.
