Hyper Light Breaker went into early access last month under less than ideal circumstances. Since then, many fixes have been implemented, and the first major update is due out on 18 February. This update will introduce a new playable character, additional enemies, affixes and holo-bytes, as well as performance improvements and equipment and combat rebalancing.

Here's What We Know

Looking ahead, the developer outlined the upcoming updates for the spring. In March, a new assassin, more enemies, blades, holobytes, and affixes will appear, as well as further optimisation of performance and combat balance. In April, the Buried Below update will introduce a new crown to fight with, an additional character to play as, expanded areas to explore, and another assassin with new enemies to face.

The initial experience will also be improved, making it easier for players to immerse themselves in the game. Heart Machine promises new content, including new bosses, story elements, equipment, progression updates, and an increased difficulty of the ending.

The full version 1.0 is scheduled to be released, and a new roadmap detailing the content from May to July will be published soon.
