Samsung is preparing to release the One UI 7.0 update to Android 15, which will include a new feature called Now Bar. This widget sits at the bottom centre of the lock screen and provides information about current activities and tasks such as music playback, voice recording and timer. This feature is already available in the stable version of the OS on the Galaxy S25 and in beta on the Galaxy S24. However, there has been no information so far on whether it will be available in the company's low-cost devices.

Here's What We Know

The recently leaked Galaxy A06 5G specs revealed that this handset will include the Now Bar feature. The Galaxy A06 5G will be one of the brand's entry-level models, and if it offers this feature, the One UI 7 will include Now Bar on all Galaxy phones, even the most affordable ones.

While this is great news, it's disappointing that Samsung has yet to release a stable version of the One UI 7.0 update for any of the devices in question. The company has explained that it wants to make a breakthrough with the new software, and that takes time.

Samsung has yet to reveal the exact date when the stable One UI 7.0 firmware will be released, but the latest rumours suggest that it could launch in April.
