Dune 3 will start filming this summer, a year ahead of schedule

Filming of the third instalment of the Dune franchise, titled Dune: Messiah, will begin in June 2025, a year earlier than expected. Previously, it was planned that production would start in 2026, but the success of the second part and the director's inspiration helped speed up the process.
Here's What We Know
Dune: Part Two was released in March 2024 and received five Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Cinematography. The film also won awards for Best Sound and Best Special Visual Effects at the BAFTAs.
Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Dave Bautista and Javier Bardem will return to the film's lead roles.
Although the official release date of Dune: Messiah has not yet been announced, the accelerated filming schedule could mean that the premiere will take place earlier than expected.
Villeneuve also noted that Dune: The Messiah will be his last film in the franchise.
