OnePlus Watch 3 users in the US and Canada will not be able to access the ECG feature

OnePlus Watch 3 is a new flagship smartwatch from OnePlus, which was officially unveiled on 18 February 2025. The gadget received support for an electrocardiogram (ECG).
Here's What We Know
Although the ability to conduct an electrocardiogram on the wrist is not a novelty for smartwatches, it was absent in previous OnePlus models. However, users in the United States and Canada will not be able to use this feature, despite having the appropriate hardware.
The ECG is also integrated into the new 60-second Health Check feature on OnePlus Watch 3. The OnePlus Watch 3 uses advanced sensors and technologies to assess vascular health, sleep quality, emotional balance, wrist temperature and other indicators, providing accurate health analysis.
However, users in the US will not be able to use the ECG Analyser feature. OnePlus said that the new smartwatch has not received FDA certification for this feature, so it will not be activated in the US and Canada.
Users will still be able to use the "60-second health check" feature without an ECG, which will be available in the second quarter of 2025.
The OnePlus Watch 3 is already available for pre-order for $329, with shipping starting later this month.
The watch has a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display protected by sapphire crystal, which ensures high brightness and clarity. The case is made of titanium alloy, which adds durability and a premium look. There is also a button to scroll through the device's interface.
OnePlus Watch 3 runs on Wear OS 5 with a Snapdragon W5 chip. This allows the watch to run for up to 5 days without recharging in normal use and up to 16 days in power saving mode.
