The Dark Knight is Japanese again: Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League anime film will be released on 18 March
Warner Bros. Japan has officially announced the release date of the new anime film Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, which will be a sequel to the 2018 film Batman Ninja.
Here's What We Know
The film is scheduled to premiere digitally in the US on 18 March 2025, and will be released on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on 15 April.
A digital collection of two anime films will also be released on 18 March.
The films are directed by Junpei Mizusaki and Shinji Takagi, written by Kazuki Nakashima, with music by Yugo Kanno.
In the anime, Batman and his allies return from the past to find that the world has changed: Japan has disappeared, and the heroes of the Justice League have become members of the Yakuza criminal organisation.
Batman Ninja received 80% freshness from critics and 60% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes, so in theory, we should have a good anime for one evening.
